Modern Paper Pulp Furniture Looks Like Giant Egg Cartons!

Egg carton crafts have never looked so good. Designed by Dan Hochberg and Odelia Lavie, ‘Pulp Furniture’ adapts the same process used to create protective pulp packaging to fashion stylish andmodern furniture. The series, which consists of a coffee table, complimentary seating and a wall clock, may maintain a fragile look, but is far from flimsy.
Despite a paper construction, the structural design of each piece has been carefully calculated to be sturdy enough to withstand considerable human weight and stress. And with a nod to its egg-crate inspiration, any item placed within the furniture – such as the glass tabletop or clock mechanisms – are well protected. Lightweight, transportable, biodegradable, recyclable and just plain awesome, all we can ask is “Where can we buy them?!”
